钱有用，2007年在南开大学对外汉语系获学士学位，2010年在韩国汉阳大学中文系获硕士学位，2015年在美国威斯康星大学麦迪逊分校东亚语言文学系获中国语言学博士学位。2015年9月至2016年8月在韩国汉阳大学中文系任助理教授。2017年2月入职中国社会科学院语言研究所当代语言学研究室。
