　　提 要：
　　重音和轻音是一个硬币的正反两面。在非声调语言里(non-tone languages)主要是重音 (stress), 就是韵律加强 (prosodic enhancement) 起关键作用。西方语言学家研究非声调语言的时候主要关注重音的作用、分布规则和声学表现。研究主体就是词重音 (word stress)。轻音现象不太引起注意。研究汉语轻重音的时候，语言学家们也一律采用这种路子。

　　演讲者从另外一个角度观察汉语的轻重音。她认为声调语言 (tone languages)与非声调语言情况不同。论点如下：汉语大多数语素带词汇声调 (lexical tone)。带声调语素需要足够的音节时长(duration) 和音域 (pitch range) 才能让声调被感知,从而区别语素意义。有些情况下带声调语素会减弱或脱落它固有的声调。声调减弱或脱落是有规则的。最明显的证据就是词汇轻声 (lexical neutral tone)。轻声很有规则，起十分重要的作用。

　　在汉语里不是重音 (stress) 起关键的作用，而是轻音 (non-stress, de-stress) 、韵律弱化 (prosodic weakening) 、减弱(reduction) 起关键的作用。值得关注的不是重音的规则和分布，而是轻音的规则和分布。

　　主讲人简介：

　　Hana Třísková, Ph.D. is a research fellow at the Oriental Institute of the Czech Academy of Sciences, Prague. She graduated from Sinology at Charles University, Prague. In 1982–1983 she was a postgraduate student at Beijing University. Her research interests include phonology and phonetics of Standard Chinese (especially sentence prosody), as well as methodology of teaching pronunciation of Standard Chinese. Her goal is to introduce the results of research in Chinese linguistics and phonetics into L2 teaching. She has taught the courses of Chinese phonetics at Charles University and other Czech universities for many years.
